Here is a stunning vintage lady’s Patek Philippe Ellipse, Ref. 4498/1, Case no. 552269, Movement no. 1403587, 18K yellow gold, 52 round 8/8 diamonds set on the bezel, approx. 0.32ct. sunburst blue dial with Gubelin signed, 4/4 diamond hour markers, an 18K integrated woven bracelet, Cal. 16-250 manual winding movement, comes with an extract from the archives and original box, the watch is in excellent condition.
 
This is a classic Ellipse from over forty years ago, the confirmed manufacture year is 1981, and the original sale date is 14th. December 1981. An 8/8 diamond also known as a single-cut diamond, with 17 facets: eight on the top, eight on the bottom, plus a table facet. The name comes from the French word "huit" which means "eight."
